It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for an MAIT Transversal Improvement Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. You will increase sustainably of the Space System MAIT competitiveness by implementing transversal improvements and efficient Lean manufacturing methods and mindset embedded in strong competencies and by transferring leadership behaviour. You will contribute to the creation of a proactive transversal organization focused on Lean principles with active contribution to the operational business lines. The role stimulates, coordinates and supports improvement projects owned by operational departments. You will report to the Head of Planning Improvement MAIT Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Coordinate and consolidate toplevel improvement projects and their results implementation. Propose and adress Xsites improvement issues. Support MAIT Operational Units with skilled resources, funding lines, training resources and the good level of common processes. Facilitate crosssites synergies and practice sharing. Enhance transversal collaboration and One Team spirit in MAIT improvement community. Support the development and implementation of each sites yearly improvement plan. Monitor results of improvement plan with sites, finance and stakeholders. Define vision of improvement and implement a continuous spirit of change. Manage the MAIT network and the Lean competencies and, through this, initiate improvements by identifying best practices and foster their implementation. Manage the stakeholders through information and involvement and key interfaces i.e. QUEST, TOLS,... We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Degree in Engineering with extensive experience in Production, Manufacturing Engineering within the SpaceAerospace industry. Strong experience in Lean methodology Lean Manufacturing, Improvement Management. Knowledge of the AIT Space Systems environment. Ability to design a consistent improvement map for the coming years. Leadership experience, high capacity to generate enthusiasm and to build a one team spirit. Resultoriented, entrepreneurial mindset with creativity and initiative, audacity, resilience and enthusiasm to engage and influence functional teams. Fluent level in English.
