The Position We are looking for software engineers to redevelop the SafetyNETNG for Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH DFS which replaces the DFSSTCA and CoSNET systems used in the German Air Traffic Control Center area. The aim is to combine into one product all four groundbased Safety Net functionalities currently in use at DFS control centers. Up to now, the following groundbased Safety Net functionalities are used in the control centers STCA Short Term Conflict Alert APW Area Proximity Warning MSAW Minimum Safe Altitude Warning APM Approach Path Monitor. This position is based at DFS in Berlin or in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It is fulltime and permanent and expected starting date will be immediately. We are looking forward to meeting you! ResponsibilitiesDuties In the framework of this redevelopment there are different work packages. Depending on availability and skills, one or more work packages can be worked on. As regards the subjects, the work packages are as follows Inputoutput data processing Asterix messages CAT062065004, weather data MOTAFW, configuration data, maps terrain model Data recording, analysis and playback Supervisor workstation HMI to control SSRACID suppression, scheduled area suppression, inputoutput data control, ... Technical workplace HMI for system monitoring Safety net functions STCA, MSAW, APM, APW. Initial operation of German Air Traffic Control project in lower airspace with SNETNG to follow successively from the second half of 2022 onwards. QualificationsExperience A university degree in aerospace, informatics, mathematics, physics or equivalent. At least 3 years of experience in development of software systems during the whole software development life cycle is required.
