Role Description Summary A key function of this role is to ensure a continuous optimization of internal stakeholders coordination keeping a customer centric approach to simplify complexities and expedite response times as targeting to exceed solution expectations and maximize O3b mPOWER value proposition over our proposals. The Bid Manager is the owner of the O3b mPOWER proposals processes of qualification, development and approval. ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Asset Management AM Team identifies and allocates capacity to enable sales deals, the development of new products and optimizes the utilization of SES inorbit assets across the global GEO MEO satellite fleets as well as the supporting platforms for the mutual benefit of customers and SES. The Manager, Asset Management O3b mPOWER works as part of the Asset Management AM team primarily to Independently manage and proactively contribute to the integration of new customers andor products onto O3b mPOWER constellation. This role focuses on the optimization of the satellites and gateways resources based on the commercial opportunities and product characteristics. The planning perspective shall include a broad perspective within the context of GEO MEO multiorbit planning landscape and Lifecycle Service Orchestration LSO architecture. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Responsible for the management and development of processes as well as day to day activities for satellite and gateway resources of O3b mPOWER through Capacity Planning and Optimisation tool CPO and Adaptive Resources Control ARC SIMULATOR or any other interim planning tools within the overarching SES network architecture in both short and longterm timeframes. This includes as part of the presales process, advise on resources availability for O3b mPOWER constellation and approve resources as per the Lead to Order flow to enable the Sales to meet their revenue targets. proactive analysis of O3b mPOWER constellation and gateways resources optimisation scenarios to facilitate sales deals that may not otherwise be possible due to a lack of suitable resources. This entails indepth knowledge of each customers technical and commercial requirements as well as the technical characteristics and capabilities of the O3b mPOWER Product Offering proactive approach to resolving any identified potential contention issue for O3b mPOWER constellation and gateways to determine if there are alternative SES fleet resources that can meet the needs of all involved customers to maximize SESs revenue. Escalate contention and drive the resolution as per existing escalation process as required Responsible for continuing development of Asset Management requirements for O3b mPOWERrelated resources management and optimization tools and processes as well as other corresponding components of Business Support Systems BSS and Lifecycle Service orchestration LSO architecture. In particular drive O3b mPOWER interim resources planning tools readiness and O3b mPOWER CPOforARC contribute to the overall development of CPOforARC including overarching Fleet resources planning capabilities, ARC Fleet Manager and any other planned networks automations contribute to Customer Relationship Management CRM system requirements proactively advise on process enhancements to fulfil AM tasks within the Leadtoorder and Ordertofulfilment CRM flows. develop automated resources availability reporting scheme for O3b mPOWER constellation and gateways, and contribute to the enhancement of Capacity Analytics dashboards, which are the tools used by Sales on a daily basis as a first insight into what inventory they have to sell. As part of Emergency Response Team contribute to the AM input to complex e.g. sc failure, gateway failure contingency and restoration activities. This requires understanding the requirements of individual customers on the O3b mPOWER constellation, how and for what they are using the resources and what alternate resources would be suitable for them. This is an iterative process of communicating with Transition and Contingency Planning, Sales and Solution Engineers to find a suitable solution in the shortest possible timeframe. There is no limit to the amount of followup contracts a staff member can receive up to the EUMETSAT retirement age of 63 and there are certainly opportunities to establish a long career perspective at EUMETSAT. This post is graded A3A4 on the EUMETSAT salary scales. The minimum basic salary for this post is EURO 6925,88 per month net of internal tax which may be negotiable based on skills and experience. The salary scale provides for increments on the anniversary of taking up employment, and scales are reviewed by the EUMETSAT Council with effect from 1 January each year.
