We require staff, wishing to join our team to work in a dynamic international environment for the following position Configuration Management Officer mf ENGSERVBMC201422 Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The position will include the following tasks and responsibilities Review of engineering documentation and ensure consistency at configuration level between ESA and Industry Participate in Project Reviews by reviewing configuration data, and support the process for generation of discrepancies RIDs, final disposition by originators, closure and status tracking Conduct documentation configuration audits and support hardware configuration inspections as needed, the latter in coordination with the product assurance function Act as secretary to Divisional Engineering and Verification Boards for o processing of changes, deviations and waivers o Coordinating the review of projects requirements closure, the verification control documents in coordination with the related interfaces with Industryies o Provide project action item lists and closure status Provide supervision and maintenance of the documentation library and archives within existing databases Coordinate with the appropriate engineering teams for updating the content of the configured baseline Support Divisional ISO 9001 activities, prepare for audits Improve configuration management process in the division and its projects. Qualifications and Experience You should have a University degree preferably a masters degree in a relevant discipline and several years of experience in Configuration and Documentation Management for space projects. Experience in the management and administration of ESA databases and information systems including DOORS and ECLIPSE is a significant advantage. Furthermore, it is expected that you have the following skills A sound and proven experience in Configuration Management in Space Companiesorganisations and ESA at least 4 years A sound knowledge of configuration modification control systems and processes Experience in space system engineering and engineering processes control and capability to support projects review with engineering evaluation is highly preferable A good knowledge of the HSO directorates programmes An indepth knowledge of the Industry and ESA configuration management related working procedures and tools, like ECLPSE and its predecessor, DMS, the RID system for project reviews and DOORS for requirements verification A good knowledge of the English language A high level of computer and database skills.
