The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to Tasks and Responsibilities Analysis of requirement specification and generation of architectural concept of processor and FPGA functions, Hardware Software partitioning for SystemonChip components. VHDL Detailed Design for Xilinx and Microsemi FPGAs and analysis of the designed components in regard to the appropriate VHDL guidelines and with use of the respective tools and checklists. Develop software for systemonChip processors. Develop and simulate algorithms as part of the SoC designs using Matlab and transfer function from Matlab model into VHDL. Simulation of the designed VHDL components using Mentor Questa Tool environment. Synthesis, Place and route to generate the FPGA programming file. Generation of the technical documentation. Support of hardware commissioning tests of the FPGA. Requirements Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. At least 3 years of relevant work experience. German at least basics. English at least business fluent. VHDL is required. Matlab is required. Experience in partitioning of HWSW functions into FPGA or SoC Architecture is required. CC would be a plus. The focus is put on imagebased navigation, agility, and artificial intelligence Collaboration in the integration phase of a complex satellite project in Earth observation. Definition, setup, trouble shooting, execution, evaluation, and documentation of simulations and closedlooptests with hardware and processorintheloop Support of the AOCSGNC design, analysis, and verification of satellite systems from the feasibility and concept phase to spacecraft operation in orbit. This includes AOCS model development, design and verification of estimation and control algorithms, and testing of algorithms using simulations with hardware andor processorintheloop Further development of the simulation and test infrastructure for the AOCSGNC FD development process. Requirements At least a Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering, Aerospace Engineering or comparable degree with focus on simulation and control technology Experience in simulation techniques with hardware and processorintheloop Very good knowledge of orbital mechanics and spacecraft attitude dynamics as well as orbitattitude determination and control of spacecraft Very good knowledge in electronics incl. embedded systems, system dynamics, signal processing, and control engineering Very good knowledge in software development with MatlabSimulink, CC, and preferably Python Good knowledge in system dynamics including multibody systems, signal processing, control engineering including robust and adaptive control techniques and preferably artificial intelligence German level at least business fluent English level at least business fluent Knowledge of French is an asset Team player with excellent communication skills Service and customer orientated person with high sense of responsibility High level of assertiveness. Perform nonlinear dynamics calculations as well as coupled analysis fluidstructure interaction. Design, size, and develop damping or attenuation devices. Support competence enhancement and process optimisation for stateoftheart design methodologies of nonmetallic and metallic structures primarily dedicated to cryo and noncryo lines as well as tanks. Foster and enhance optimisation tools and methodologies for pre and postprocessing developed for launcher structures. Contribute to the verification and mechanical justification structural integrity with regards to mechanical and thermal environments of the upper stage primary and secondary structures. Establish dynamic test predictions and test plans incl. test procedures and specification, to execute dynamicstructural tests, and to evaluate and analyse corresponding test results.
