As an IT Solution Architect you will work as a trusted advisor to our Space sector clients, often embedded in their teams in a consulting capacity, to help them to develop and deliver IT infrastructure solutions that will meet their business requirements and priorities. You will work on highlevel roadmaps and IT Strategy as well IT solution design you will also be expected to engage with CGI teams, client stakeholders and external vendors to implement projects that deliver these solutions. You could be working with one or multiple of our clients, or supporting business development activities such as bids and writing technical proposals. What is important is that you are enthusiastic about our clients business whether that is satellite operations, downstream applications, cyber security or another Space sector domain and can bring your experience as an IT infrastructure Solution Architect to help our clients and grow our businesses. Aufgaben In your role as an IT Solution Architect, you will Work closely with your client stakeholders to maintain an overview of their IT landscape. You will understand the big picture and be able to use this knowledge to design new architectures. Analyse the business requirements constrains originating from the customer and IT operations. Develop and maintain architecture strategies and technical roadmaps. Define solution designs. Define and manage projects that implement solutions by engaging with supplier teams, business stakeholders and external vendors. Pepare project briefs. Develop implementation and rollout strategies, while managing the balance between delivery and risk. Review and approve technical documents produced by engineers and supplier teams. Expand your network with partners and 3rd Party providers and use this network to stimulate decisionmaking and problem solving. Follow new technology products and trends in order to incorporate them into potential solutions. Qualifikation You will have Technical Architect or Solution Architect experience in any or multiple of the following technology areas Large scale storage and backup architectures Database solutions Network systems Cloud infrastructure Security architecture Computer systems and virtualisation Automation Infrastructure management, configuration control and auxiliary functions You will also be familiar with ITIL Service Management Processes and Project Management techniques, as well as possessing excellent communication skills in written and verbal English. You should also be comfortable in a clientfacing role with daily client and service provider interaction. You are a proactive, independent problem solver and a great team player. You thrive on solving complex tasks in a challenging environment and enjoy supporting your colleagues. The CS group, together with its German subsidiary, is a European leader in the area of astrodynamics and of flight dynamics. In order to strengthen our European development even further we are looking to enhance our team of Flight Dynamic specialists based in ESOC Darmstadt. The key person will join our Flight Dynamics team supporting on a daily basis our customer ESAESOC. The ESOC Flight Dynamics division provides mission analysis and flight dynamics operations support to ESA and third party missions during all mission phases. Flight Dynamics cooperates with different elements of the ground segment, such as the flight control teams, ground operations teams, science teams, the projects teams and the spacecraft manufacturers. More specifically, the selected key person will primarily support the Flight Dynamics operations for the Sentinel missions of the EU Copernicus programme. The dedicated Copernicus Flight Dynamics team is responsible for the flying missions of Sentinel1AB, Sentinel2AB and Sentinel5p, as well as for the launch campaigns of their successor missions and of Sentinel3 and Sentinel6. Besides the multimission support, the position offers a diversified working field due to the wide spread responsibilities of each team member and various interfaces inside and outside the team. As the solely working language is English, fluency in English is essential. We are looking for a skilled professional who has already gained experience with Flight Dynamics operations. Tasks Responsibilities The key person will join a team responsible for the following tasks Orbit determination and maneuver optimization Attitude determination and onboard systems monitoring and verification AOCS command generation AOCS and optical sensors calibration Test Validation for the above Performing studies and technical analyses to support the above You will work on Routine mission operations Prelaunch activities, like software development and testing, procedure writing, technical analyses, support to test and simulation campaigns Support during critical mission phases e.g. launch and commissioning, end of mission activities Support of collision avoidance maneuvers with space debris including oncall service Maintenance and evolution of the flight dynamics system. Profile Mandatory skills University degree in a relevant engineering field, astronomy, mathematics or physics Very good skills in linear algebra, in particular for problem solving related to geometry in the Euclidean 3dimensional space Being familiar with different representations of rotation in 3D, thus including the representation of SC attitude cosine direction matrix, Euler symmetric parameters quaternions, Eulerangles ... is an asset Very good skills in calculus in one or several variables Very good skills in classical mechanics, including kinematics and dynamics of point masses, dynamics of rigid bodies, dynamics expressed in noninertial reference frames, e.g. including dynamics in rotating frames, rotation dynamics expressed in body fixed frame, conservation laws in mechanics, gravitational forces and field, orbit dynamics, Keplerian orbits and Kepler laws.
