The U.S. aviation regulator proposed on Sunday that people flying drones for commercial purposes obtain a special pilot certificate, stay away from bystanders and fly only during the day. The long-awaited draft rule governing drones also limits speed to 100 miles per hour, the altitude of flight to 500 feet above ground level.

They are responsible for ensuring smooth operation of the Network by monitoring and controlling all TV, Radio and Data services transmitted on the SES Satellite Network and ensuring correct operation and quality of the uplinks from Betzdorf and around the world. They work a shift pattern covering 247 operations. Responsibilities Maintain services to the highest possible standards, considering primarily service availability and quality of transmission, though the use of automatic and manual monitoring and analysis systems Performing and coordinating traffic recovery and troubleshooting with external uplinkers, customers and their representatives and SES Technology engineering and station support staff Operating and configuring the encoding and multiplexing systems for services originating in Betzdorf Produce accurate reports for customers on all incidents affecting transmission Report on all activity to General Manager, Customer Service Operations Perform regular In Orbit Tests of satellite transponders Perform occasional use accesses and line up tests of uplinks as required Provide technical support to customer Perform other duties as required by management.
