We are currently looking for an Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities The selected candidate will report to the Head of the Antenna and Submillimetre Wave Section of the Electromagnetics and Space Environment Division. Main responsibilities Preparing and monitoring Research and Development activities in the field of antennas including hardware, software and system aspects. Providing antenna technical support to ESA projects. This includes inhouse design and tradeoff studies to support both developments and reviews. Tasks will require the analysis and design of reflector antennas and arrays and the calculation of the interference effects between antennas and the spacecraft structure. For the above areas the selected candidate will have to support all antenna development stages from design and analysis up to measurements. When in charge of research and development or project support, heshe will handle direct interfaces with the prime activity contractors, participate in progress meetings and reviews, as requested, and provide appropriate feedback on the achieved progress and discussions. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant field Knowledge of antenna space constraints at RF, mechanical, thermal and environmental levels gained from the handling of Flight Model development or RD development at high TRL level. Knowledge of antenna industrial manufacturing and testing processes. Expertise in using antenna modelling tools GRASP8, POS4, CHAMP as a minimum. Experience in antenna testing. Solid experience in architectures and technologies as applied to aerospace industrial experience is a major assert. Experience and knowledge of slotted waveguide antennas and VHFUHF antennas is an asset. Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
