A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms continues near the northern Leeward Islands in association with the remnants of Tropical Storm Grace. Upper-level winds are not expected to be favorable for redevelopment of this system during the next several days. However, heavy rain and gusty winds are possible across portions of the northern Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico and Hispaniola for the next couple of days while the wave moves westward at 15 to 20 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent A tropical wave located between west Africa and the Cape Verde Islands is producing minimal shower activity.
