Product Assurance and Safety PAS Engineer PPQASAJOB00103 Tasks and Responsibilities The Product Assurance and Safety Engineer will be in the PA Department, reporting to the PA Manager. Heshe will be responsible for PAS activities, primarily in space projects hardware, software and services covering Process and Product Quality Assurance, Configuration Control and Safety as well as maintaining and further developing the company Quality Management System. The tasks include Taking responsibility for PAS matters in projects o Preparing PAS plans and data packages for project reviews. o Establishing test and verification plans and supporting procedure preparation. o Supporting procurement decisions for COTS and selection of qualification processes. o Monitoring the manufacturing, integration and test activities. o Performing environmental tests in external facilities. o PA for the verification, qualification, acceptance delivery activities. o Assessing the implementation of PAS requirements by our subcontractors. o Systematically track NCRSPRWaiversProblemsCritical Items. Taking responsibility for further developing the company Quality Management System. Qualifications and Experience For this position we are looking for engineers with a Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant discipline informatics, computer sciences, electronics, mechanisms, etc. Prior experience with Product Assurance and Safety, preferably in the Space domain, excellent communications skills in English both spoken and written. You should be polyvalent, communicative and with a proactive problemsolving attitude and an EU citizen or eligible for a Work Permit for the EU. Experience of the following is an advantage, European Cooperation on Space Standardization ECSS standards, other relevant frameworks like CMMI, ISO, PMBOK, ISO9001 certification. Experience with Qualification of CommercialofftheShelf equipment for the space environment. Consultancy Support on Ground Station Software and MC 1313091 Job Description The key person shall support the activities of ground segment developments in the area of Software and Monitoring and Control MC related to the ground stations. In doing this, the key person shall support The Engineering activities of Phase B of future ground segments in the areas of ground stations software and MC systems. The follow up of the detailed design and development activities of Phase CD of the future ground segments in the areas of ground stations software and MC systems. The analysis and the implementationtesting of changes, or reengineering that may be required on the basis of user requirements or maintainability issues The testing and validation of new software and databases releases The automated operational Ground stations procedures and related databases The remote operation and the maintenance of EUMETSAT Ground Stations in the areas of Monitoring Control and SW architecture Transfer protocol for the spacecraft telemetry, telecommand and mission data The STC Lab activities by contributing to the system definition and specification of STC Lab applications in support of the different programmes and by contributing to the working practices definition and improvement. Required Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline relevant to the job profile together with the experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision. Heshe shall have, as a prerequisite, a demonstrated experience in a similar function for at least 5 years. Fluency in English. LinuxWindows operating system. TCPIP, SNMP, Serial based communications. C and Java programming languages and XML. The Key person shall be in possession of sound management and interpersonal skills to conduct the responsibilities described above autonomously and with a minimum level of supervision, exhibiting good oral and written communications skills, analytical capabilities, and motivation. Desirable Skills and Experience Ground stations system and subsystem design and development for TTC, mission specific andor satellite communications ground stations. Knowledge of multiplexingdemultiplexing schemes applied in Space Links for TTC and payload data transmission e.g. ECSS and CCSDS Standards. Data Base Applications and related configurations control mechanisms. Knowledge of French. Configuration Management Tool Support 1313090 Job Description The Key person shall Develop, document and administer on a daybyday basis the CM tool used to manage Changes and Configuration Items. Develop, document and maintain all CM tool procedures and scripts aimed to automate and crosscheck as much as possible the applicable CM processes and working practices. Perform the second level maintenance of the CM tool occasionally, first level maintenance as well. Ensure the proper identification and archiving of software releases delivered by external or internal development teams to EUMETSAT operational environments. Witness and crosscheck activities relevant to software installation on EUMETSAT operational environments. Provide support to the management of source code and data files. Participate in the definition, improvement and implementation of the Configuration Management processes and working practices. During the Preparatory and Routine Operations phases and in the frame of the configuration identification phase, the tasks of the Contractor will typically include the creationmodificationdeletion and version tracking of following Configuration Items HW items computers, infrastructure, Comms equipments. SW items including SW applications, COTS and associated Licences, .... Documentation including SpacecraftGround Segment operational procedures, manuals and guides. Keeping up to date the mapping of SW items onto HW items. The Key person may also occasionally be requested to Administer and perform an endtoend tracking of Engineering Change Requests and Proposals ECRs, ECPs. Act as the Secretary for the Change Review Board and Anomaly Review Board meetings, alternatively with other Configuration Management team members. Automate Configuration Inspection and Audits as necessary. Issue Configuration Status Accounting Reports as necessary. Attend technical meetings. Participate in formal reviews. Required Skills and Experience University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
