Software PA Support Engineer

Client and Location For one of our main customers ESAESTEC, we are currently looking for a Software PA Support Engineer who will give support to the Software Product Assurance Section, onsite at ESTEC. Tasks and Responsibilities The support tasks including the following Contribute to the establishing of the programmatic and technical software PA requirements within the framework of the ESA Software policy. Evaluate Contractors plans, technical specifications and efforts proposed for the execution of the SW PA programme. Monitor and evaluate SW PA analyses, reports and technical notes. Participate to project reviews, meetings, Configuration Control Boards, Nonconformance Review Boards and Software Review Boards. Prepare design tradeoffs, analyses and reports using metrics to support project decisions. Participate to software product evaluations and process assessments. Establish and maintain databases to track NCRs, RFWs, action items etc. as required. Experience and education Masters degree in software engineering or computer science with background on space engineering. Relevant professional work experience. Familiarity with space product assurance practices together with a good working knowledge of appropriate working tools. Practical experience in applying ECSS SW standards. Knowledge and proven experience in the following areas Configuration management of complex systems Software engineering and PA in critical applications. Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary technical and institutional environment. Easy contact with personnel and well balanced autonomy in the execution of the requested tasks. Rigor, commitment and reliability in the execution of the assigned tasks and capacity to identify priority actions. Familiarity with electronics office automation tools e.g. Microsoft Office suite, including Access and techniques, electronic mailing, customized databases, and ideally, familiarity with ESA corporate tools. You will have the opportunity to provide engineering support to the GSA for the Galileo exploitation phase. More specifically, the support is requested to contribute to preparation and technical support of the Galileo service facilities, including GNSS Service Center GSC and Galileo Reference Centre GRC. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include You prepare operations concept of service facilities, and contribute to KPI definition hosting entities, hosting services providers, infrastructure providers and operators You support preparation of GRC site interface control document ICD and follow up of the GRC site preparation activities You followup technically ongoing contracts for GSCGRC Infra, Operations and Hosting You prepare GSCGRC security accreditation files to support successful accreditation You support asset management strategy e.g. spare parts, test equipment, and reviewing the asset utilisation plan of the GSC and GRC You support to the definition of the GRC infrastructure evolutions You support to the definition of the GSC evolutions You provide support for the preparation of the next GSC INFR FWC and associated SCs You support to the evolution of the GMSGSC ICD and impact at GSC INFR level You support to the coordination of the GMSGSC integration tests and resolution of anomalies You support the GSC INFR qualification and acceptance milestones. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have an university Degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience You have at least 2 years of work experience in space GNSS programs You have at least 2 years of work experience on the Galileo project You have a good understanding of the Galileo Infrastructure You have great communication skills in particular on how to interface with different parties stakeholders, client, subcontractors, etc and to host meeting You have good organisational skills You have experience in reporting technical elements How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
