Our client has launched onsite a private cloud computing environment in 2014 called esacloud. Since then its service has been extended to include services such as Backup as a service, Platform as a service and Container as a service. In order to support the client activities which cover a wide spectrum of operational needs, esacloud adoption support is needed which was initially covered by a Managed Organisation service contract. However with the additional services, the wide customer base, from users that require single virtual machines to those setting up complex clustered applications a more comprehensive adoption support is needed. Services currently provided by the Managed organisation service have been provided through a simple web interface called goesacloud using the APIs of vmwares vCloud Director. This interface provides basic Virtual Machine provisioning and the deployment of apps within containers, enabling users the opportunity to deploy virtual machines directly on esacloud.
