Your Mission One of the main tasks of the DLR GfR mbH is to operate and manage the constellation of Galileo satellites from the Galileo Control Center in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. DLR GfR mbH has been awarded by Spaceopal with the contract for the Galileo Service Operator Tasks associated to the Galileo Control Center Germany. The project support office is delivering an internal service to managing director, department heads, project management and group leads of the operations team. For the performance of the tasks we are looking for a Head of Project Support Office. Responsibilities Management of the Project Support Office including coordination and personnel management Implementation of the project tasks as well as responsibility for the project management processes Coordination of the legal support Project scheduling and technical project control Project related Quality and Product Assurance Service Delivery Management based on key performance indicators as well as tracking of fulfillment of KPIs Management of the local training program Coordination of the export control Project Management and administrative supporting tasks Reporting Skill Requirements Master degree or equal certificates in industrial engineering, economics or law Longtime experience in legal frameworks and affairs with regard to Space activities Understanding of management techniques like scheduling, risk and quality management techniques Experience in administrative andor technical project management especially with international teams Experience in personnel management and supervisory responsibilities Understanding of the relevant procurement regulations applicable with EC GSA ESA EU would be an asset Fluent in English and German in reading, writing and spoken language Fluent in French or Italian would be an asset Your Start You can look forward to an employer who will value your engagement and who supports your development with various opportunities for further qualifications and training. Microsoft Rolls Out Linux Support in SQL Server 2017 Release Candidate

Microsoft has announced the availability of its first public release candidate for SQL Server 2017, which includes full support for Linux. SQL Server on Linux improves on earlier previews with several key enhancements, including active directory authentication; transport layer security to encrypt data; and SQL Server Integration Services that add support for Unicode ODBC drivers.

Expansion of the goesacloud service Agile expansion of the goesacloud platform to cover additional services as they become available, such as BaaS NetBackup, Object Storage Isilon Storage and Disaster Recovery Zerto Develop PoCs based on open source tools for new or improved services Expand the service portfolio to include managed operating system service. Experience and education Understanding of cloud infrastructures and technologies Experience on Automation and DevOps tools, e.g Ansible Software development, python, golang, and shell scripting Demonstrated use Web development technologies, both backend and front end Administrative experience of Operating Systems, Windows, Red Hat, SLES Management of orchestrators and container technologies e.g Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes and openshift At least 5 years experience with service delivery in the areas of Servers hardware, operating systems Virtualisation services Security Independent with the ability to use own initiative Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines Strong focus on customer service.
