Heshe shall be able to fulfil the assigned tasks autonomously, be able to plan hisher work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks and work in a rigorous way to agreed deadlines. Heshe shall be willing to work in a team of engineers and in cooperation with industry and partner agencies. The key person shall have the following experience, background and skills University degree in the domain of engineering, science, business administration or equivalent At least 3 years of experience performing project management activities At least 5 years of experience working on large and complex development projects in the aerospace or similar domain Experience of working on a collaborative program between different partners Ability to make synthesis from various written or verbal inputs with excellent English writing skills Good computing skills with strong experience withability to use MS Office software Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.. NICETOHAVE SKILLS CONSIDERED AS AN ADVANTAGE The following will be considered as an advantage Knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures and processes Certification in project management or in project management disciplines Knowledge of systems development lifecycle Experience of Ground Segment development for Earth Observation systems Knowledge of ECSS standards. TASKS The Project Management Support Consultant will provide support to the EPSSG Ground Segment Manager and team for management related aspects. The key person shall report to the EPSSG Ground Segment Manager, who is responsible for the ground segment project and for the daytoday assignment of the Consultants activities. The tasks of the Project Management Support Consultant will typically include but not necessarily be limited to the following Participate in team management meetings and in meetings with partner agencies, contractors, internal stakeholders, etc. as appropriate Track progress against agreed development plans and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Track actions and risks, analysing and reporting critical issues to the Project Manager, and support the close out of such actions and risk mitigation activities Prepare minutes of meetings and correspondence to industry andor EUMETSAT partners Contribute to the preparation and execution of the Project Reviews from a management standpoint Contribute to maintaining the project schedule in coordination with EPSSG team members, perform a critical path analysis of the schedule In coordination with the EPSSG Project Control Team, support the Project Manager and team in maintaining project documents such as the Project Management Plan, Product Tree, Team Organisation Chart, Work Breakdown Structure WBS and related documents Prepare presentations and synthetic progress reports for internal e.g. report to senior management and external purposes Follow up subsystem development activities monitor deliverables to and from EUMETSATs partner agencies and industry, and support the review of deliverables. Support the control of the baseline definition of the ground segment including evaluation of Change Requests, Change Proposals, and Requests for Waiver Deviation, etc. Support on a case by case basis the other Programmes within the LEO Division in Project management support activities.

The key person shall have skills and experience in the following mandatory areas minimum 5 years for each 1. System Development Maintenance Skills o Experience of building complex software, in particular setting up a continuous integration environment. o Experience of migrating and updating Sub Version repositories 2. Software Technology Skills o Experience of source code control systems SubVersion configuration and administration o Unix commands and shell scripting o Advanced knowledge and experience of using ant o Extensive experience of scripting languages o Extensive experience with software package management o Extensive experience and knowledge of the configuration and administration of continuous integration software e.g. Jenkins. The working language for the position is English and therefore the key person must be able to work effectively in this language and have knowledge of the other. TASKS As a member of the Generic and Systems Infrastructure Division GSI, the key person shall be involved in implementing improvements to the development environment for the EUMETSAT Data Centre Archive and will be integrated within the Data Services Engineering Team. The duties shall be to analyze, design, and implement appropriate software configuration management, to support continuous integration, testing and deployment of UMARF software. Particular focus for this assignment will be to modernize and improve the development and build processes by using modern tools and strategies. It is Envisioned that this should be implemented on the Technical Compute Environment TCE. Particular the tasks will include, but not be limited to The migration of the subversion repository to the TCE. Build management Improve the build processes with the introduction of continuous integration technologies. This will require some extensive rewriting of current build scripts. The following goals should be achieved o An automated build process o Continuous running of test cases were possible o Improved reportingrealtime notification of build failuretest failures etc Release management o Improve the current software package management and deployment o Enable releases to be easily and efficiently implemented, tested and deployed Simplification of the development environment o All prerequisites libraries, jar files, environmental variables etc, should be available from version control Advice, suggestions and introduction of tools, practices and strategies for the software configuration management. In the performance of these activities, the key person shall follow the relevant operations change control and maintenance procedures.
