Tasks The Products Formats and Test Data Test Tools Engineer shall support the Sentinel3 Operations with respect to EUMETSATs Marine Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS. In particular anomaly correction and software release process, maintenance and necessary evolutions, including the necessary coordination with the data processing systems engineering and the multimission element engineers for the related interfaces with the rest of the Sentinel3 ground segment. Essential requirements The consultant should have the following background 5 years experience in testing and maintaining product formats and formatters, test data and tests tools for large scale software systems missioninstrument data processing related. Experience in engineering evolutions of such software, test data and tools is also required. Knowledge and experience is required of software development lifecycles, system testing for Earth observation systems and use of test data and tools for supporting this. Knowledge and experience is required of formats and associated formatters used in earth observation e.g. netCDF for marine applications and also used in other communities including HDF, BUFR and GRIB. Good knowledge of CICIJava programming language experience in a UNIXLinux based environment Scripting languages e.g. Python, Perl, TcliTk, shell XML and related technologies e.g. XPATH, SVG Other Information Start date is 4th quarter of 2015.
