Job Description For our client, the European Space Agency ESA, we are looking for a Software and Validation OnBoard and Ground Engineer for their location in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, to join their Flight Software System Section. Tasks and Responsibilities The contractor will be assigned to the Flight Software Systems Section of the Software Systems Division and will be in charge of the following initial tasks Project support related to all technical aspects development and qualification of flight software General Support to Software Validation Facilities and Avionics Test Bench infrastructure activities. Requirements A Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline. Specific tasks to be performed Providing expert technical support and consultancy to ESA projects, programmes and general studies in the field of space antenna systems, submillimeter wave instruments and associated technologies throughout all project phases Participating in project reviews and performing inhouse design and tradeoffs to support projectspecific technology developments Identifying critical development problems and assisting in their resolution Antenna measurement laboratory activities as required Defining, initiating and monitoring RD activities covering both longand shortterm needs Monitoring applicable scientific and technological trends and maintaining stateoftheart expertise.
