Overview The Galileo Project System Engineer will report to the Head of the Galileo Project Management Support Office. Tasks and activities include System Engineering in all phases of spacecraft projects. A range of support tasks is required to be carried out in system engineering and subsystem domains, including early throughout implementation phases of space projects, in particular for small demonstration missions and education projects. This includes validation of design, support to implementation and testing phases, generation and monitoring of missionsystem level specifications. Support development contracts regarding the above areas, and act as the activity technical responsible. Maintain interfaces with the prime contractors. Participate in progress meetings and reviews, as requested, and provide appropriate feedback on the achieved progress and results. When supporting projects, heshe shall interface with ESAs project teams, the prime and lower level contractors. Specific qualification requirements University Masters degree or equivalent qualification in engineering. Relevant experience as engineer, with at least 4 years in the aerospace field. Expert knowledge of SC system and mission design, incl. system design modelling tools and Concurrent Engineering applied to space mission assessment and design. Knowledge of System of Systems SoS architecting and related tools such as System Architect, Focal Point, etc. and frameworks e.g. MODAF, TOGAF. Knowledge and practice in the application of ESA SE Standards e.g. ECSSE10 series and SW engineering. They should possess sound judgment have integrity and good communications skills. A very good working knowledge of spoken and written English isessential. NOTE They must be eligible for Galileo security clearance by their nationalsecurity administration. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday.
