Position Reference 964 On behalf of ESA, we are currently looking for a Mechanical AIVAIT Engineer to work in its Site ESTEC in the city of Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support Agency projects on AIVAIT issues, in particular environmental testing including follow up of industry activities. Support the Customers of the Test Centre through all project phases, taking into account project requirements and performance of facilities. Participate in the development of new methods and tools, the preparation and implementation of investments Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory PhD or Msc Engineering from a recognised Institution of secondary studies University, Ecole suprieure, etc. or equivalent in aerospace or mechanical engineering. Experience in satellite AIV and satellite testing, and some experience in management. The following skills would be highly desirable Environmental Test Campaigns and Launch Campaigns experience. The Environment and Climate Business Unit BU addresses the development of operational or research applications in the fields of space observation, climate, oceanography, meteorology, hydrology, ecology or all other earth sciences. The majority of clients are institutions or academics. The Environment and Climate BU markets, creates and operates products and services related to its field of activity in close collaboration with the other BUs and the support departments of CLS. She is also responsible for the strategy and coordination of the CLS group in the area of environmental and climate monitoring. Within this BU, the Ocean and Climate division conducts studies, develops products and operates services in the field of physical oceanography and climate on behalf of French institutions CNES, IFREMER, Mercator Ocean, etc. and Europeans COPERNICUS, ESA, EUMETSAT. The clusters area of expertise covers the analysis, calibration and mapping techniques necessary for transforming spatial observations and raw in situ observations into valueadded products.
