The yarn market has started recovering in China, over a return to full work at spinning mills whereas optimism is now prevailing over trade negotiations with the United States. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Cotton futures have rebounded in the past week in New York, with investors anticipating large Chinese buying after a trade agreement will have been signed between Washington and Beijing. The first USDA data covering the coming season have however reflected a rise in global ending stocks, as a clear sign that prices will not rise over the long term and whatever short-term volatility. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Business activities are slowing down on yarn markets in Pakistan, in line with a lack of demand from China. Lower cotton prices have helped spinners in slightly reducing their offers for specific counts. Our weekly review offers a comprehensive picture of the domestic and export yarn markets in Pakistan, with cotton yarns, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose, polyester spun and viscose spun prices being covered. India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Yarn prices have stopped rising in India after being significantly increased in the past weeks. Cotton prices have also stabilized after sharply falling in the past three months. Cotton exports are however expected dropping this year whereas imports would be supported by the fall of prices on the international market. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centres are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.
