Top Agent Network, Inc. filed a lawsuit today against leading online real estate company Zillow alleging theft of its proprietary trade secrets to create the highly touted "Coming Soon" feature. The lawsuit alleges that Zillow gained access to TAN's confidential information by feigning interest in investing in the company when, in fact, it was simply interested in tapping into TANs proprietary information and industry know-how to launch a competing product.

San Francisco-based fund ValueAct Capital has discloses to U.S. regulators that it has acquired a 5.7 per cent stake in Calgary fertilizer producer Agrium Inc. . In its 13D document, required whenever an investor buys more than five per cent of a company's shares, ValueAct does not specify whether it wants to see any changes at Agrium, saying only that the purchases were made in its "ordinary course of business" and for "investment purposes."

French oil giant Total SA has named Patrick Pouyanne as chief executive to replace Christophe de Margerie, who was killed earlier this week in a plane crash in Moscow. Barely 36 hours after de Margerie's death, Total's board chose Pouyanne, 51, at a board meeting Wednesday.
