We are involved in international manned unmanned spacecraft programmes, earth observation, science, exploration, communications and related technology development. We require staff, wishing to join our team to work in a dynamic international environment for the following position Electronics Engineer for Flight Systems Development mf Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the Companys premises in Zaventem Brussels, with occasional shortduration travel mainly to the Netherlands. The candidate who will join the Systems Ground Segment Department will perform the following tasks Review, assessment and challenging of specific applicable requirements. Definition of electronicelectrical system architecture, preliminary design and detailed design. Technical specification of custom electronics developments and customisations. Selection of CommercialOffTheShelf COTS and HiRel electronics boards. Flight qualification of COTS electronics boards. Technical management of electronics boards developed by suppliers. Manufacturing, assembly and testing of electronic interfaces and harnesses. Assessment of radiation impact on the system. Preparation of electrical analysis reports and EMC analysisassessment. System reliability, availability, maintainability and safety assessments. Preparation of test procedures and test reports. Verification of requirements in the Verification Control Document VCD. Qualifications and Experience For this position we are looking for engineers with the following background and skills Masters or Bachelors degree in an electronics discipline. Experience with flight systempayload development. Experience with electronics boards manufacturing and assembly. Experience with power electronics and control electronics development. Experience with flight qualification, verification and testing. Experience with the ECSS processes for electronics development and verification. Experience with rugged and embedded computer systems. Excellent communications skills in English both spoken and written. Experience with payloads for the International Space Station ISS is desirable Experience with Cubesat electronics design and COTS components is desirable. We require staff, wishing to join our team in Zaventem Brussels to work in a dynamic international environment for the following position Attitude and Orbit Control Systems Engineer mf Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The main tasks and responsibilities will include The Control Systems and Sensors section has the following roles and responsibilities Definition and implementation of AOCS Attitude and Orbit Control Systems for Earth Observation, Telecom, Navigation satellites and for Astronomy Observatories. The functional support provided to these projects includes o Participation to project reviews SRR, PDR CDR, . o AOCS design, analyses and simulations control loops design and modelling, FDIR, independent simulator setup, functional verification and performance budgets. o Review of AOCS SW implementation. o Sensors and actuators selection and procurement support. o AIVAIT support test benches, review of test plans and test results. o Operations support review of Operations Manual, rehearsal and LEOP. o Support to inorbit analysis. Conception, initialisation and supervision of corresponding enabling AOCS technology RD High Accuracy Pointing, Generic AOCS Architecture Building Blocks, Innovative AOCS FDIR Solutions including prototyping and tools development. Sensors and inertial actuators technology development APS, Star Trackers, sun sensors, Earth sensors, magnetometers, gyros, accelerometers, magnetotorquers, reaction wheels, CMGs. Development and utilisation of the Control Hardware Laboratory e.g. sensor characterisation and testing. Maintenance, development and setup of AOCS simulation tools. Participation to the elaboration and promotion of ECSS standards in the E60 domain. Qualifications and Experience A University degree MSc in Control and Aerospace engineering. At least 6 years of proven experience in the design, tuning, analysis and simulation of AOCS systems in different project phases. HW knowledge sensors, computer, actuators. AOCS AIT at subsystem and system level. Proven knowledge of commercial modelbased design tools MATLAB. Furthermore you should Be able to interface with industry and to operate in a team environment, Present good interpersonal, reporting and communication skills and a proactive attitude to solving problems.
