A vacancy for a Ground Segment and Information Systems Engineer mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. You will join the Ground Equipment department of the Telecommunications satellite division in Toulouse. This department is responsible for procuring, installing, configuring and operating the control centres used for Validating the operation products, launching telecommunication satellites into orbit, receiving and analysing the telemetry of all the AIRBUS telecommunication satellites and stationkeeping as backup to our customers. This control centre TSOC Toulouse Satellite Operation Centre is made up of a set of hardware Sun, Linux, SAN, workstation, etc. and software products developed within the division or by other Airbus teams, or provided by external subcontractors. They are connected to a communications network with the TMTC antennas and with the customers control centres. In this context your main task will be to provide inservice support for all the entire TSOC IT infrastructure and being responsible for its revisions. As a ground segment engineer, you will also be involved with the positioning phases of telecommunication satellites. You will be responsible for the following For the IT systems Engineering part Being responsible for the correct functioning of the TSOC IT infrastructure, Managing the entire IT infrastructure servers, light customers, OS, hardware maintenance contracts with the support of a team of subcontractors and being in charge of its revisions. This management role includes the technical aspects but also planning and financial monitoring, Being the focal point and being in charge of the system for each configuration manager knowing how to organise and report appropriately in cases of system failure and revisions, Being the driving force behind defining TSOC revisions forecast over a 5year period, For the part concerning participation with operations As part of the LEOP ground team, participating in positioning operations for Telecommunications satellites and being oncall for the inorbit support centre. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience Engineering degree or equivalent or an experienced technician, 3 years experience in IT systems engineering in an industrial context, Ideally, good knowledge of control centresground segments, Thorough knowledge of managing a Windows infrastructure via the Domaine and Active Directory, Proficiency in all or some of the following technical fields OS Solaris, RedHat, Centos, Windows XP, Seven and 2008 2012 servers, Databases Oracle 10, Mysql, Microsoft SQLServer 2008, Hardware ORACLE server, HP and BladeCentre servers, SAN, hyperconverged technology, IP networks, Virtualisation, ideally VMWare 5.0 and ViewHorizon, VEEAM ONE monitoring tool.
