For our activities in the development of flight instrument electronics including payload computers and SAR antennas we are looking for a Power Electronics Design Engineer. The Power Electronics design engineer shall lead the detailed design and the associated analyses for power and DCDC conversion electronics. The tasks of the Power Electronics Design engineer are Requirements and architecture analysis at electronic function and electronics board level Analysis of design parts stress analysis, worst case analysis, failure modes and criticality analysis, radiation analysis, etc. Assessment of EMC performances of the power subsystems, equipment, boards Specification of the electronics design physical implementation Review of design documentation Laboratory prototype testing Detail design and manufacturing management of DCDC conversion boards, including power conversion, control, current limiter, current and voltage monitoring and latch up circuits. Preparation of test procedures for the design characterization and manufacturing acceptance. Specification of necessary test benches. Board level testing. Test reports writing. The candidates qualifications are Electronics engineers equivalent to Master of Science, with major contents in power electronics preferred Electronics design engineering experience more than 6 years in a majority of the following specialties of power electronics DCDC power converter design in classical topologies Equipment to distribute protected supply lines to spacecraft power users latching current limiters, foldback current limiters etc. High power electronics and DC distribution and conversion design etc. EMC analysis, EMC testing Digital design for the telemetries of the power electronics Analog design for the voltage, current and temperature acquisition chains related to the power electronics subsystem Good knowledge on design methodologies for space applications design documentation, design analysis, etc. and tools e.g. PSpice, MathCad, Matlab, etc.. Knowledge in CAE Dxdatabook. Sound mathematical basis for its application to the electronics design analysis worst case analysis, control loops and stability analysis, etc. Long experience in technical management of power electronic equipment and systems in space programs. Good team worker, engaged, capable to take responsibility for own small project The base location is SSBV headquarters in Noordwijk ZH, The Netherlands business unit SSBV Space and Ground Systems NL. The Digital Electronics Design Engineeris responsible for the full development, including requirement analysis, architectural and detailed design, of digital electronics as part of an Instrument Electronics subsystem. The tasks of the Digital Electronics Design Engineer are Requirements and architecture analysis at board level, interface definition, and functional decomposition of board level architecture down to component level, including selection of highrel components Detailed design of the digital electronic circuitry, including VHDL design, schematic entry and board level simulations Interaction with other electronic design engineers, VHDL and FPGA specialists, instrument system engineers, OB software engineers, electronic and mechanical design engineers, project management Knowledge and handson experience with all space qualification aspects for flight electronics, such as radiation, EMC, mechanical, thermal, integration, manufacturing, etc. as well as related verification methods and procedures Documenting digital electronics requirement analysis, detailed design validation and verification procedures and test reports interface control documents. The candidates qualifications are Electronics engineer B.Sc. or higher, with major contents in space electronics At least 4 years relevant experience in space electronics design phase CD in industrial environment Knowledge of fault tolerant components used in space, including for example LEONprocessors, radhard FPGAs, digitizers, highrel memory components SDRAM, and digital interface components like SpaceWire, WizardLink, CANbus, etc. Design and development experience of highspeed advanced digital circuitry, knowledge of signal integrity aspects Design and development experience of VHDL algorithms, preferably in accordance to ECSSQST6002C implementation experience of embedded CC test software is an asset Good team worker, proactive, handson, engaged, takes full responsibility for hisher board design Good verbal and written communication skills in international project teams.
