Satellite Platform Operations Engineer 2 positions Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. You will have the following responsibilities Support routine operations of the inorbit MSG spacecraft and commissioning of MSG4 Performance evaluation and trend analysis to monitor the inflight behaviour of the spacecraft Contribute to the maintenance of automated and manual procedures, operations database and the MSG Flight Operation Manual Satellite simulator maintenance support Analysis and investigation of operational events and anomalies Participation in the preparation and specification of system updates Contribution to the MTG system operations concepts for SC operations topics Support the specification and reviews of the different operations related elements of the MTG system Support, as requested, the satellite simulator development procurement followup and maintenance and provide the necessary input to the simulator team. Support the definition and execution of the Operational System Validation activities Contribute to the definition of MTG commissioning activities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline Several years experience in spacecraft operations MSG andor MTP satellites operations or geostationary satellite operations Routine spacecraft operations Operations preparation of a satellite project Operations andor design of Electrical Power Subsystems or of Attitude and Orbit Control subsystem Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Contribution to the MTG system operations concepts for SC operations related topics. Support, as requested, the specification and reviews of the different operations related elements of the MTG system including satellites and ground segments. Support the MTG operations preparations activities, mainly at Space Segment level but including also Ground Segment aspects. Support, as requested, the satellite simulator development procurement followup and maintenance and provide the necessary input to the simulator team. Review technical notes and attendance at technical meetings and reviews Participation to the definition and execution of the Operational System Validation activities such as SVTs, rehearsals and the necessary training activities for the various operations personnel prior to system commissioning. Contribute to the definition of MTG commissioning activities. The specific tasks will be specified in the applicable work package and mutually agreed in advance. Your Profile In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Key persons shall have experience of spacecraft operations. Furthermore, it would be a distinct advantage for the Key persons to have experience with some of the following MSG andor MTP satellites operations or geostationary satellite operations in general Routine spacecraft operations in general Operations preparation of a satellite project.
