Polyester chain prices Wednesday plunged in China, in line with a sudden drop in crude oil prices. Polyester filament prices have resisted, however, whereas staple fiber prices heavily fell. Cotton yarn prices rebounded in the past week in India, over a new rise in cotton fiber prices. The weak demand for yarns could limit any increase in prices, however. Our weekly report covers fiber prices in India, including cotton, polyester, and viscose. Many yarn prices are also reviewed, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, 100% viscose, and 100% acrylic.
