Validate and compile data for Key Performance Indicators KPIs of the EUMETSAT S6 Centre to be used in the generation of monthlyquarterly reports Coordinate the assessment and review of the monthly KPIs Monitor ProductionDissemination performance and Conduct 1st level investigations into anomalies. Report through the established channels. Monitor and coordinate MME interface issues Supervise and coordinate Controller activities with respect to mission monitoring activities Support the development of the SMART monitoring implementation for the S6 environment including participation in S6 SMART development meetings Identify and coordinate and supervise team training activities Analysis of system activities, events and anomalies with a view to improve training, procedures or the system Creating, reviewing, updating and issuing operational documentation as required. Role Description Summary As the Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for taking ownership in resolving longterm and highly visible Customer Service incidents. You will coordinate with commercial, development and technology teams to ensure delivery of best in class customer service. In this role, you will perform upgrades of day to day Operations software needed by all Level 2 to maintain operational efficiency. In addition, you are expected to support the development of operational and system requirements by liaising with multiple departments within SES. The Analyst will also support other projects and activities affecting all areas of operations in order to provide best in class systems and services for SES operational teams. Responsibilities Key Result Areas Coordinate PMOCs efforts in supporting advanced CSD activities, such as HTS operational development and furthering the integration of SatID, Satguard, Sentinel, and other emerging systems into operations Update monitoring plans after reconfigs etc, run ESG cals etc Track and resolve complex technical and operational issues affecting customer transmissions on the SES satellite network including GSM, radar, sweepers, rebroadcast etc Maintain the highest level of operational and technical knowledge of the communications monitoring systems in order to act as a systems expert in supporting 247 operations Ensure that operational tools used by the operations centers are appropriate and effective for their tasks Participate in internal and external customer meetings, and conference calls, to develop strong relationships with key internal, external and industry stake holders. GSA AND GALILEO SECURITY MONITORING CENTRE The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for the operations and service provision for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. By developing a new generation of GNSS, Europe is laying the foundation for new hightechnology industry development, leading to job creation and economic growth. The GSMC is an operational centre of the GSA. It contributes to the fulfilment of the GSA mission by ensuring that sensitive information relating to the use of Public Regulated Services PRS is suitably managed and protected and not exposed to Galileo Control Centres. TASK AND RESPONSABILITIES The Operations Analyst will support the Security Monitoring, the PRS Access operations, the application of the Council Decision 2014496CFSP and will contribute to the Security expertiseanalysis. The Operations Analyst will report to the GSMC Operations Manager and will be in principle responsible to Under Service Operations Ensure the organisation of GSMC operations, including schedules, availability of operators, availability of infrastructure and GSMC business continuity planning in coordination with other GSMC teams Initiate investigation of incidents, raising observations and anomaly reports. Attend and chair the Anomaly review boards as required Analyse GSMCGalileo System operational data and contribute to reports Support the development of operational procedures, processes, documentation and training plans Conduct studies and trend analysis on the GSMC operations or service provision, to support the lessons learnt and improvement processes Manage contracts providing operational support, outsourced operations or operations engineering support, including drafting the terms of reference and the management of contract execution. Act as the project officer for external support work packages designed to enhance the GSMCs capability Provide advice and expertise to current GSMC Operations team, as well as external stakeholders such as Member States and European Institutions Under Service Transition Support the Service Validation campaigns for new Galileo Infrastructure releases and contribute to the validation of other GSMC core services Support development and coordination of Service Validation Plans and Reports Support the GSMC Operations, Service and Configuration Review Boards Work closely with the engineering team to develop new requirements, operational scenarios and procedures, and optimise the existing ones. The GSMC Operational Analysts will be required to be on on call duty and might be requested to work also on shifts. To that extent, the necessary training will be organised by the GSA and the GSMC Operational Analyst will have to pass the relevant operational training and evaluations for both roles in order to remain qualified for the post. Place of employment The job holder initial place of employment will be SaintGermainenLaye. However, the job holder may be requested to go on frequent missions or have temporary relocation to other GSA sites Spain and Czech Republic to perform similar tasks to those in France.
