FAA states unmanned aircraft owners do not need to work with "drone registration" companies to apply for registration number. Furthermore, FAA pointed out that details on forthcoming drone registration system will be announced later in November. FAA Administrator Michael Huerta told Task Force to provide guidance on streamlined unmanned aircraft registration process that will be simple and easy to complete as well as include which UAS types would need to be registered and which would not.

Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines are fighting in court over the use of gates at Dallas Love Field. The city of Dallas, which owns the airport, United Airlines and the U.S. Department of Transportation also are involved.
FAA says 3 planes hit by laser near Dallas

The Federal Aviation Administration says three different planes were hit by a laser beam coming from an area near Dallas. FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the incidents happened Wednesday evening.

FAA proposes a $68,000 civil penalty against Unical Aviation Inc. of the City of Industry, CA, for allegedly violating Hazardous Materials Regulations. FAA alleges that on July 21, 2015, Unical knowingly offered undeclared hazardous material shipments to FedEx for transport by air to Lenexa, KS. Shipment contained three Protective Breathing Equipment Units, each of which contained an oxygen generator chemical, which can cause or enhance combustion of other materials.
