A Dublin Garda and former GAA player who is accused of taking part in an ATM scam is facing another charge, a court has heard Garda Brendan Phillips , who is alleged to have taken a 450 in fraudulent bank machine withdrawals, had the case against him adjourned at Dublin District Court. The accused, originally from Sligo but with an address in Clonsilla, has already pleaded not guilty to three deception charges and two counts of attempted deception in connection with ATM withdrawals in March and April 2013.
Police warn Duquesne Light customers of scam

Ross Township police are warning residents that someone posing as a Duquesne Light employee is trying to steal their money. "What we've seen recently involving Duquesne Light, which is not actually Duquesne Light, but people calling reporting to be from Duquesne Light stating that the electric bill is past due and that the money is owed," said Detective Brian Kohlhepp.

Fake real estate agent charged in Manhattan rental scam

A 33-year-woman is being accused of pretending to be a real estate agent and falsely collecting more than $24,000 from unsuspecting renters in upper Manhattan. Police say Jennifer Ricardo of the Bronx was arrested Monday on charges of grand larceny and scheme to defraud after a two-month investigation.
