Polyester fiber prices have bottomed out in China, over a sharp decline of inventories at fiber plants. Lower operating rates are also supporting staple fiber and filament prices. With material costs further dropping however, any rebound in prices could be short-lived. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) on the domestic markets in China, India, and Pakistan. Polyester filament prices in China are also released, whereas the report includes a price comparison of polyester with cotton and viscose in China.

The report also includes a detailed comparison of Chinese price trends vs other origins, through a series of indexes.
