Viscose fiber prices have stopped rising in China, over a larger level in available inventories. Raw material costs of viscose producers have however bottomed out. Polyester Fiber and Filament Yarn Prices in China (Weekly Report)

Polyester prices have slightly declined in the last days in China, over lower material costs. Seasonal demand should support prices in the coming period, however. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison of polyester staple fibers with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Yarn import prices were Tuesday rising in China after declining in the last ten days by contrast. Spun polyester prices are now dropping after February average prices have however increased, as reflected by our monthly data. China's yarn imports from India have surged in January, according to Chinese customs. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
