QA Engineer for Launcher Propulsion

We are currently looking for a QA Engineer for Launcher Propulsion to support our customer in Germany. QA Engineer for Launcher Propulsion Key Tasks and Responsibilities In the frame of the Product and Quality Assurance activities for Ariane 5 Ariane 6 valve systems, you will have the following responsibilities Quality Engineering Establishment of nonconformance reports NCRQMeldungen and nonconformance reporting to PA, engineering and project including corrective and preventive action management Implementation of inspection and documentation plan Release of procurement, manufacturing and acceptance documentation Application of SPC statistical process control and family behaviour Support of PA manager with regards to customer meetings Procurement and Supplier Control for PA Planning, Supervisionperformance of incoming inspection of procured items Supervision of key point inspections at subcontractors and suppliers Planning and implementation of acceptance operations Conformance Control Establishment of conformance certificates accompanying documentation acceptance records in order to ensure that delivered products meet the technical, functional and physical requirements Preparation of acceptance data packages for products to be delivered Manufacturing Control Supervision of manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing of internally and externally manufactured parts including cleanliness Supervision of handling, transportation and storage activities Participation in key point inspections establishment of inhouse key point list key point planning and procedure communication of key point planned dates key point inspection reports Application of LEAN standards Product and Materials control In failure case, inspection of test hardware Supervision of sample testing, examination, revalidations and exchange Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant discipline Experience in the production area as well as experience with elements in system engineering Experience in the space propulsion mechanical production Proven knowledge of quality standards like EN9100 and ECSS Good knowledge and experience in quality improvement methods and causal analysis 8Dreports, KepnerTregoe, 5xWhy Good knowledge in SAP QModul and MS office Application of statistical methods Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. A vacancy for an Electrical Propulsion Mechanisms Responsible mf has arisen within the Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. You will join the Electrical Propulsion MSC department. You will lead engineering activities related to the mechanisms used for the electric propulsion for Telecom satellites current and new development.You will report to the head of the Electric Propulsion department in the Telecom Satellites Business Unit in Toulouse. Your main responsibilities will be Being the focal point Equipment Functional Manager within the Electric propulsion group for all topics connected to the mechanisms for current and new developments, Working in collaboration with the Electric Propulsion and the System architects and participating in the analysis of propulsion chain design performances and justification file and the qualification status versus the satellite Customer requirements, Following up and industrialising current developments you will take over after the qualification of the first generation of EP mechanisms and will ensure the delivery on Quality, on time, on Cost of type flight models in collaboration with the procurement team, Developing the next generation you will specify, define the appropriate industrial scheme, and follow the development up to the qualification and final validation of the next generation of mechanisms for Electric Propulsion, Participating with the different equipment andor satellite project reviews Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review and the Test Review Board, Interfacing with other architects on various subjects mechanical, thermal, electrical, functional and modelling, for the procurement, AIT and operations departments. This role may involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly according to development phases of projects. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to a Masters degree level in Mechanics or equivalent, an additional degree in thermal and mechanical engineering would be appreciated, At least 5 years of experience developing mechanisms for space projects, Ability to interface with different technical areas e.g. mechanical, thermal, electrical and functional, Meticulous, good communication and summary skills, Ability to work within a team environment, Negotiation level in English and in French.
