More than 80 per cent of members voted in favour of increasing the maximum fine for realtor misconduct. The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver has voted to immediately triple the maximum penalty fine for realtor misconduct to $30,000 from $10,000.

The Federal Communications Commission has said this week that the average download speed for U.S. Internet connections has surged to 31 Mbps as of September 2014, up from 10 Mbps in March 2011. Consumers have demanded faster speeds and more bandwidth as streaming services are now the norm and the size of downloadable files have increased over time.

Wellington Management Group LLP more than tripled its stake in Massachusetts companies American Tower Corp. and Repligen Corp. in the first quarter of 2015. The Boston-based investment management firm increased the number of shares it holds in Boston wireless tower communication operator American Tower by 218 percent to 6.7 million, valued at $634 million, according to a recent securities filing detailing its holdings as of March 31. It boosted its shares in Waltham drugmaker Repligen by 205 percent to 36,637, valued at $1.1 million.
