Based in Luxembourg, you will contribute to the following activities Support the installation and configuration of a demonstrator platform for evaluating and comparing selected Network Monitoring Solutions for a complex satellite based network infrastructure Support the validation of MoCoMe v3 releases, TechComs Monitoring, Control and Measurement framework Install and configure MoCoMe v3 as Monitoring Control demonstrator for our Rapid Response vehicle and transportable ground station Draft technical MoCoMe v3 documentation from existing manuals and information stored in our wiki. Your profile Being an advanced student in ICT field Strong interest in software verification, system integration and quality assurance Advanced ICT knowledge with tangible experience in Linux, J2EE and IP networks Knowledge of open source NMS solutions and RESTful web services is a valuable asset Excellent analytical and judgment skills, Ability to set priorities and to work under tight deadlines Work independently as well as in a team Easiness to communicate at all levels Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset. A Network Design Engineer is expected to be an expert in hisher field and thus be able to apply their knowledge to network design tasks and provide individual technical contributions within a design team. This role is for an individual with expertise and experience to Cisco CCNP certification level plus also knowledge of Juniper JUNOS and a demonstrable record of data network design experience The Network Design Engineer will work as a member of the Network Design Engineering team and be allocated to projects. The Network Design Engineer will report to the Network Solution Design Manager designated technical lead with respect to project requirements and, functionally, to the Functional Manager within the Network Design Engineering Department.
