Network Engineer Romania Bucharest Role Description Summary You will be directly responsible to Senior Manager Network, for the design, implementation and Operation of mission critical IP production networks associated with Satellite based IP platforms, Internet Backbone infrastructure and media content contributiondistribution. You will have a dedication and commitment to providing a highlevel technical competence, professionalism and customer service. Primary Responsibilities Key Result Areas Implement and maintain high availability, scalable and costeffective IPMPLS production networks involved in the support of mission critical operations and customer service provision Support Data and Video Networks in different location around the world Responsible for provision of Level 3 network engineering support to Network Operations staff during office hours and participating 247 on call duty. Provide and maintain a detailed documentation library for all IP networks under the responsibility of SES Services Delivery drawingsoperational procedurestrouble shooting guides, providing appropriate documentation to the operations groups. Provide cost effective solutions based on operational, customer and budgetary requirements while considering currently available technologies Be proactive in implementing improvements to the existing network infrastructure in the drive for best in class service availability and reliability while meeting internal product requirements. Manage vendors with emphasis on maintenance agreements, incident management and software deployment Competencies Excellent English, verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Must be able to operate in a high stress production environment Strong documentation and report writing skills for peers, team members and NOC staff Ability to coordinate business requirements and day to day tasks. Ability to manage complex projects and network implementations Good communication skills and teamspirit Implement security policies appropriate for customer facing and internal networks. Qualification Experience Professional certification to level of Cisco Certified Network Professional RS or SP Must. Experience with Fortinet Firewalls and Cisco Firewall Must University degree in ElectronicsEngineering advantage At least 3 years of professional experience in IP networking and LANWAN technologies including but not limited to Layer 2 3, network architecture and design. At least 2 years of experience in IOS XEXR and Nexus platforms At least 2 years of experience in Service provider networks advantage Proven track record in the design, implementation and support of high availability IP networks in the Service Provider domain along with associated security, traffic management and monitoring systems, including detailed multicast and MPLS network design. Knowledge in MPLS, MPLSTE, RSVP, OSPF, Multicast and multicast VPN, TACACS, RADIUS Able to read, write and debug shell code and other scripting languages e.g. Python advantage Understanding of authentication and authentication protocols such as TACACS, RADIUS and LDAP advantage Proxy, WAP and IPSEC VPN knowledge advantage Whats in it for you?
