Overview Configuration control covers both ESA internal activities, activitiesperformed by Industrial Contractors and other external parties to DNAVsuch as EC and GSA. The tasks also covers the daily operation,maintenance and change control for records in the NavigationDirectorates Documentation and Configuration Management System. This includes the participation in and to support improvements of theprocesses related to the use of electronic documentation andconfiguration systems, management tools e.g. for action tracking andother relevant IT tools. The documentation and configuration tasks arerendered by the CADM Office to given programmes, projects and specificorganizational entities within the Navigation Directorate. The area of responsibility of the CMO entails duties such as, but notlimited to the following Preparation and followup as Secretary of entrusted Configuration Control Boards CCB. Support to processing and disposition of Change Requests andor Change Proposals. Providing status data and maintaining a wellstructured record system for relevant CM processes and transactions. Establishing and maintaining the approval system for all documents under formal ESA control, and maintaining the associated DRLs and DRDs. Document registration, distribution and archiving, as well as provision of reproduction services of documents and media. Regular review of the status of documents in the different archive and storage locations and align this information in the Documentation andConfiguration Management System database. Processing configuration controlled document changes and official papers relevant to the activities of the unit. Generation and maintenance of documentation and configuration tracking lists. Support to the management of the User Account List to the Directorates servers and services. Support to users for entering and retrieving documents from various Documentation and Configuration Management related server systemsinternally and externally. Liaising with industrial partners CADM officers and documentalists for exchanging data and resolving documentation and configuration relatedissues. Provision of paper copies of electronic documents on request, creationof electronic versions of documents and management of original files. Support to all documentation and configuration related tasks fortechnical and nontechnical reviews. Support preparation of CM related requirements and generation of CM related requirements documentation including CCB terms of reference. Prepare adequate processes for proper product configuration control in NAV databases. Configuration items identification and technical requirements baselining. Management of configuration evolution, baselines verification, asbuilt control. Support inhouse analysis of contractor and operational engineering processes for establishment and improvement of configurationmanagement measures. Support establishment, review and monitoring of configuration control methods, procedures and standards. Ensuring configuration control methods, procedures and standards are maintained and kept consistent with applicable standards andrequirements. Support preparation formal requirements for inclusion in industrialcontracts. Support and participation in Project Reviews. Supporting the supervision and maintenance of the documentation library and archives. Supporting the design, installation and improvements of CM related automated methods and tools. Support the performance improvement all CM related processes and dedicated activities. Support to the Directorate Document Records Officer DDRO in discharging relevant functions. Specific qualification requirements Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent or MBA or equivalent University degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, with relevant experience. Master in Engineering or Librarianship or equivalent MBA or equivalent University degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies. At least 5 years of relevant experience. High level of autonomy and proactiveness. Developed communication skills and professional maturity that is required to carry out complex tasks and high level of responsibility. Fluent in the English language spoken and written. Knowledge of other European languages is an asset. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. The traineeship will take place at the GSA headquarters in Janovskeho 4382, Prague 7, Czech Republic and shall last preferably from 1 September 2018 to 28 February 2019.
