Position Reference 741 You will have the opportunity to assist EUMETSAT in monitoring the progress made by the EPSSG Payload Data Acquisition and Processing PDAP Supplier in its development of the Data Processing functions. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Interact closely with the PDAP, DPI, and PGFs Suppliers being the local interface to provide EUMETSAT with a continuous oversight of the Suppliers activities, including the following ones software development e.g. team workload and efficiency, adherence to Quality Assurance procedures and working practices, resolution of technical issues, in particular for the DPI and the PGFs developed under the PDAP Contract management e.g. status and progress assessment, schedule control, WP management, progress report preparation acceptance of subsystems e.g. reception of subcontractors deliveries, incoming inspections, production of test reports contributing to provide technical clarifications to the PDAP, DPI and PGFs Suppliers on the EUMETSAT expectations relevant to the Data Processing system under development, including requirements to be fulfilled and testing aspects. Attend Integration and Testing activities of the Data Processing systems under development, including the Data Processing Infrastructure DPI, the L1L2 Products Generation Functions PGFs, whether held at the PDAP or DPI Suppliers premises in Toulouse, at the PGFs Suppliers premises, or at the EUMETSAT Headquarters in Darmstadt. Participate to Technical Management Meetings Participate in Review of Documentation analyse and comment, the Progress Reports associated to the PDAP and PDP related Progress Meetings review PDAP Suppliers documentation related to the Data Processing system under development, including Design, Compliance Matrices, and IVV related documentation review EUMETSAT documentation dealing with concepts and technical analyses of relevance for Data Processing systems followup associated actions or review activities. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with proven experience in applications of remote sensing technologies. You must have good team working skills, be able to work autonomously, and have good analytical skills. You have handson experience in System engineering processes, covering the full development lifecycle and in monitoring and implementation of designs against requirement baselines and IVV, including testing and formal acceptance You have good working knowledge in both French and English You have good interpersonal and communication skills, allowing to work within a multidisciplinary and international context with various teams. Chief Engineer, Gateway System Architecture United States Manassas, Virginia Your Role The Principal Engineer, Gateway System Architecture is a key leader in the SES Gateway System Architecture team providing technical leadership and expertise in the areas of gateway and baseband systems development. The primary objective is to ensure SES customers have the highest quality gateway architecture to provide the solid operational foundation to exceed the customers system performance requirements. The SES Gateway System Architecture team works in a dynamic environment and is looking for forward thinking individuals to help develop the next generation of gateway systems. Your Responsibilities Responsible for taking the lead role in developing and deploying complex gateway systems into to the operational network. EPSSG System Planning Support 191051 Job Description We are looking for an experienced System Planning Engineer for our customer EUMETSAT. The selected engineer will be working in the new EUMETSAT Polar System Second Generation programme EPSSG. This support role focus on the definition and maintenance of the development logic, schedule and subsystems interactions. The EPSSG system covers the space segment satellite and instruments, ground segment, satellite application facilities, launcher service and LEOP service, as well as the corresponding operations preparation activities. The main tasks are to be performed during phases B and C and include Maintain the system development logic and schedule in coordination with all partners and subsystems until handover to operations Identify all interactions between subsystems and partners, and associate them with main system development milestones and the program work breakdown structure Prepare and maintain Interactions Documents for partners, defining all interactions between subsystems, together with their need dates.
