Overview This position concerns support related to the development,implementation and maintenance of the ESA Administration Area ISO9001 Management System. The responsibilities andduties include Define and document the organisations processes and update the existing processes Monitor the status of the audit findings and make sure corrective actions are put in place Support the preparation of the Administration Area QMS Management review Lead the nonconformance review boards in the Facility Management domain analyze the nonconformances, review the corrective preventiveactions Analyze the complaints in the Facility Management domain and issue complaint reports to the customers Support the user surveys implementation, the analysis and monitor the improvement plans Provide quality assurance support to projects and services Train the Administration Area Staff to the Quality Management System and maintain the training material Prepare and conduct quality audits. Specific qualification requirements University degree MSc. or equivalent qualification in engineering, business administration or a related discipline. Experience in the definition, implementation and certification of quality management systems in conformance to ISO 9001. Experience working with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001. Experience in facility management processes. Good organization and communication capabilities. Fluent in the English language spoken and written. Knowledge of another European language is an asset. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. We are looking for a System and Software Engineer E3 to join our Ajilon Technology Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Ajilon Technology Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Ajilon is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 110 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Support the technical responsible for assigned CubeSat InOrbit Demonstration projects from early definition phase to the implementation phase and launchoperations phase, or CubeSat technology development activities. Maintain interfaces with the relevant CubeSat prime contractorssystem integrators industryresearch institute for the assigned projects. Maintain interfaces with the ESA technical specialists for reviews and ad hoc support. Coordination of CubeSat project reviews. Follow up technical issues arising on the CubeSat projects and participate in risk reduction activities. General tasks to be performed The work covers System Engineering in all phases of spacecraft projects. A range of support tasks is required to be carried out by the Contractor in system engineering and subsystem domains, including early throughout implementation phases of space projects, in particular for small demonstration missions and education projects. This includes validation of design, support to implementation and testing phases, generation and monitoring of missionsystem level specifications. Support development contracts regarding the above areas, the Contractor shall act as the activity technical responsible. Maintain interfaces with the prime contractors. Participate in progress meetings and reviews, as requested, and provide appropriate feedback on the achieved progress and results. When supporting projects, heshe shall interface with ESAs project teams, the prime and lower level contractors. Educational of System Engineering tools and models. Provide support to technical coordination activities. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required MSc or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. Expert knowledge of CubeSat projects through the complete lifecycle, including mission designoperations, systems design AIV, subsystem technologiesproducts. Knowledge ofexperience in the practical application of tailored engineeringquality standards to CubeSat projects would be an asset. Expert knowledge of SC system and mission design, incl. system design modelling tools and Concurrent Engineering applied to space mission assessment and design. Knowledge of System of Systems SoS architecting and related tools such as System Architect, Focal Point, etc. and frameworks e.g. MODAF, TOGAF. Knowledge and practice in the application of ESA SE Standards e.g. ECSSE10 series and SW engineering. About ESAESTEC The European Space Agency ESA has sites in several European countries. The European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC is the largest site and the technical heart of ESA. This nursery of European space activities is located in Noordwijk, Netherlands. At ESTEC, about 2500 engineers, technicians and scientists work handson with mission design, spacecraft and space technology. Almost all ESA projects except launchers are managed from ESTEC. In Noordwijk, people work on science missions, manned space missions, Earth observation, telecommunications and navigation satellites.
