The Position We are looking for a FT generation e distribution system professional with working experience. If you have experience and familiarity with design, corrective maintenance and operations activities related to ground segment FT related systems, we are searching for you! The daily activities requested, will be supporting the European Space Agency ESA with highly qualified services at the European Operations Control Centre ESOC in Darmstadt. In particular, the selected candidates will run a service at ESOC where they will provide your expertise the field of FT generation and distribution systems for all ESTRACK infrastructure As part of this role, in close and direct collaboration with the client, the selected candidate will Support to ground station developments, i.e. support to the definition of technical specifications and statement of works, participate to procurement tender evaluation boards in the role of expert, support to design reviews as well as support to factory and site acceptance tests. Support to technology development activities, i.e. support to the definition of requirements, support in preliminary prototype and bread boarding activities, support to the evaluation of achievements. Support to preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the next generation of EGNOS and Galileo in the field of system performance, architecture and algorithm development. You will join the Airbus Navigation Department at the Airbus site OttobrunnTaufkirchen near Munich. With more than 80 engineers and 20 years of experience it is one of the leading expert groups in Europe for the development and implementation of the European satellite navigation systems EGNOS and Galileo. The successful applicant will join TESUS3 SBAS Performance . Your responsibilities will include Managing and planning all system performance activities in the EGNOS system performance team, in conjunction with the system performance manager Ensuring consistency of subsystem activities with system performance needs incl.performance tools development, algorithm development and verification Managing performance budgets, considering feedback from lower level based on simulations and tests e.g RIMS site surveys, CPF prototyping Specifying necessary enhancements and modification for development of performance engineering tools, and check successful implementation Assessing existing performance algorithms, and propose necessary enhancements Aligning with system performance qualification Interacting with the customer ESA and within the team at Airbus located in Ottobrunn and Toulouse Required skills We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experiences You are educated to a Masters Degree in Navigation, Geodesy, Physics, Mathematics, Informatics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent You have profound several years knowledge and proven experience in satellite navigation systems, in particular GPS, Galileo and SBAS, and working experience of the development and deployment phases of these systems You have mathematical background for algorithm development You have a good knowledge on system, receiver and user algorithms including advanced positioning concepts and particular knowledge in some of the following aspects PPP, ambiguity resolution, orbit determination, ionosphere modelling, ARAIM, integrity concepts. You are experienced in systems engineering processes, Python, C or Matlab You are able to analyze complex technical problems and define innovative solutions You have good interpersonal and very good verbal and written communication skills You speak English to negotiation level, German or French is a welcome asset This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth.
