Main Responsibilities The postholder will focus on the below main responsibilities PDGS system requirements specification PDGS architectural design specification PDGS subsystems requirements definition PDGS subsystems Industrial Procurement preparation PDGS Integration and Validation specification Support to the GS Integration and Validation PDGS preparation for Launch PDGS Commissioning phase preparation and coordination PDGS Operational phase preparation PDGS Evolutions specification Successful Candidate The successful Candidate will bring You have a university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably engineer or in Remote Sensing Strong experience on ground segments implementation, in particular on Analysis and definition of PDGS system requirements Design of PDGS system Development of Payload Data Ground Segments subsystems Definition and execution of system integration, verification and validation activities Analysis and estimation of system performances System and Software anomalies management reporting, analysis, classification and resolution. Project management experience, preferably in the field of Earth Observation Ground Segment Development Knowledge of the ECSS standards and, as an asset, documentation and configuration control management techniques Knowledge of the ESA Earth Explorers missions and instruments and processes related to their PDGS development would be an asset Programming skills in order to develop tools for the accomplishment of the PDGS engineering, testing and validation, etc. would be an asset Important Any offer of employment is contingent upon you providing documents to verify your identity and employment eligibility, as required by law. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks You will be part of an onsite systems engineering team to maintain the overall system design documentation of EUMETSAT GEO Meteosat and LEO EPS satellite ground segments. Task and Responsibilities Maintain system requirements, interfaces and design baseline Model systems using MBSE Approach Review system evolutions and support IVV Workplace EUMETSAT Qualifications Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Required knowledge Minimum of three years engineering experience in at least one of the system components of a ground segment of an earth observation satellite. Position Reference 581 We are currently looking for a Biomass System Engineer to work for our client in the city of Frascati, Italy. The Biomass System Engineer will provide management and specialized engineering support to ESAESRIN for the development of the Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS of the ESA Biomass mission. HeShe will be responsible for the technical coordination of the PDGS development during all its phases. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include PDGS system requirements specification.
