(Telecompaper) Orange will soon start selling its first 5G-ready own-brand smartphone, called Neva Jet, in Poland and Romania, with more markets to follow. Customers in Poland are already testing the handset in locations where the operator is conducting 5G trials. In this country, however, the Neva Jet will initially be available on existing 3G/4G networks for its commercial launch, expected in the coming weeks.

This is the industry's first positive growth for two years. Samsung maintained first position with 21 percent global market share, Huawei rose to a record 18 percent, and Apple took third place with a 12 percent market share.

(Telecompaper) Huawei maintained sales growth in the third quarter, despite the US ban on doing business with the company. The company reported revenues for the first nine months of 2019 up 24.4 percent year-on-year to CNY 610.8 billion, a small improvement from the 23.2 percent growth in the first half of 2019.
