RHEA is currently recruiting a Flight Dynamics Engineer to support the Sentinels Flight Dynamics Team at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the Flight Dynamics Operations in routine and special operations including LEOP and deorbiting of the assigned Sentinels Missions, and provide expertise on those areas to any other Sentinels when required Sentinels Flight Dynamics software exploitation, operation and maintenance, including development of tools e.g. scripts, etc to operate such systems Support to Sentinels launch campaigns FD system tests, simulations to prepare and validate operational support Oncall, and eventually call in, support to support potential collision avoidance manoeuvres Generic flight dynamics support to other Sentinels Ground segment systems and teams FCT, SIM officer, ground stations, Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Required background in mathematics, mechanics and dynamics Mature problem solving skills Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Service provision will be exclusively in English Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Familiarity with operational training Familiarity with FD systems Familiarity with programmingscripting languages The following skills would be highly desirable Familiarity with ESOC FD infrastructure software used for Earth Observation missions Experience working with operational missions in orbit determination and control, and particular previous experience with CopernicusSentinels missions Experience in working in an operational environment Familiarity with FORTRAN programming language Experience in operational training Familiarity with the ESOC working environment and Quality Management System QMS Knowledge of flight dynamics operations on EO satellites, Experience with prelaunch activities and launch campaigns of satellites. As the study engineer, you will be involved in Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics studies for satellite and space projects in the development phase, for various applicative domains like Earth Observation e.g. Spot 67 and Perusat programmes, etc., Geostationary satellites or constellations e.g. Measat 3B, DTV15, Eutelsat 172B, etc..
