We are looking to further enhance our team by adding a Planning and Scheduling officer You will be based initially for 2 years at our clients headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany. Your Tasks Include The tasks of the Consultant will typically include Coordinating and tracking all planning and scheduling across the Operations Department EPS, MTP, MSG. Jason2 3, Copernicus Sentinel3, Services etc including operations, maintenance and user service related activities Provision of planning support to major Programme activities including the preparations for the launch and commissioning of new and recurrent satellites Support to the planning of projects, including intraproject and multiproject conflict resolution Ensuring that all planning and scheduling conflicts are resolved Organizing the weekly Operations Planning and Scheduling meetings Providing planning for the Operations Management Meetings Supporting the Operations Reporting Review, actions and recommendations Supporting the production of the Central Operation Report Coordination the planning of technical activities with the Technical Scientific Support TSS Department Ensuring all plans and schedules are distributed both internally and also to external partners using email, Intranet and Extranet Coordination of the evolution and update of the Operations Department Intranet and Extranet pages for space and ground segment related activities liaising with all Operations Divisions Preparation and production of reports monthly work package report, technical reports as necessary. Your Profile In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Consultant shall have experience of spacecraft andor ground segment operations. Furthermore, it would be a distinct advantage for the Consultant to have several years experience with the following Planning and scheduling within a large project including conflict resolution Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel Experience of planning and scheduling within a 247 satellite operations environment Intranet and Extranet technology. The Consultant shall be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, shall be able to work calmly and correctly under stress and must be able to work with the minimum of supervision. The official languages are English and French. The working language for the position is English and therefore the consultant must be able to work effectively in this language and have some knowledge of the other, together with good communication skills. Tasks This Position is for consultancy support for an Operations Planning and Scheduling Officer required as part of the Routine Operations phases of EPS, MSG, MTP, Jason2 3 and Copernicus Sentinel3. The Consultant shall work in the System Operations Team within the RealTime Services and System Operations RSO Division, and will participate in the operations planning and scheduling of all Operations Department missions and supporting systems for all Operations related projects and Operational Services. The long term planning horizon covers several years, whereas the scheduling is performed on a weekly basis and is derived from the longterm planning.
