NEMA ABP 5-2015 Series Ratings applies to molded case circuit breakers that are designed to protect rated conductors and in particular, ones that may be used in series-rated system. White paper shows why it is important to understand how the short circuit interrupting ratings are assigned to a combination of two or more overcurrent protective devices which are connected in series, and in which the rating of the downstream device(s) in the combination is less than the series rating.

Keith Cook of Philips Lighting and Elaine Thompson of Allied Tube & Conduit received Kite & Key Award, which recognizes individuals who have advanced interest of electroindustry through active involvement in NEMA activities. NEMA elected Maryrose Sylvester chairwoman of the 2016 Board of Governors. She is President and CEO of GE Lighting and Current, powered by GE, and the first woman to head the association. NEMA’s Board of Governors appointed additional officers: First Vice Chairman Michael Pessina, President and Co-CEO, Lutron Electronics; Treasurer David Nord, Chairman, President, and CEO, Hubbell Incorporated; and Immediate Past Chairman Donald J. Hendler, President and CEO, Leviton Manufacturing Co., Inc.
