Revathi Advaithi joins NEMA Board of Governors.

During its July meeting, NEMA elected Revathi Advaithi to its Board of Governors. Ms. Advaithi was recently appointed chief operating officer, Electrical Sector, Eaton. In her new role, she is responsible for the company’s $13.8 billion global electrical business. Prior to that she served as president of the Electrical Sector for the America’s Region. Ms. Advaithi has held various other business roles across Eaton in Europe, Asia, and North America.

National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) reaffirmed ANSI C78.1406-2004 American National Standard for Electric Lamps—P28 Single-Contact Medium Prefocus-Based Projection Lamps for Base-Down Operation—Dimensions, which is available via downloaded and in hard copy. Developed by Accredited Standards Committee for Electric Lamps, said standard establishes dimensions essential to interchangeability of single-contact medium prefocus-based projection lamps of T10 and T12 bulb sizes.

Developed by the Accredited Standards Committee for Electric Lamps, standard describes a system for classification of beam patterns and beam angles of reflector lamps. A method of describing light output also is defined.

This standard, which specifies dimensions essential to interchangeability of condenser-reflector lamps featuring four-pin prefocus bases, T12 or T14 bulbs, and used in 8 mm motion-picture projectors, is available via download and in hard copy.
