Cambodia Apparel Exports in 4th Quarter and Full 2018 (Country Report)

Cambodia's apparel exports have further surged in 2018, being actually tripled in the past ten years. Exports to the European Union have continued sharply rising, but are now threatened by a possible withdrawal of their duty-free access. A return to 12% import tariffs would not significantly reduce Cambodian exports, according to a just published report by the World Bank. Current uncertainties could however benefit Vietnam and Bangladesh in the short term.
