Description The Feasibility Studies cover integrated applications, based on a combined use of several space e.g. Earth observation, satellite communication, satellite navigation, manned space and terrestrial assets, in different thematic areas, such as Safety, Health, Energy, Transport, Development, by new communities of end users and European private and institutional players. Activities include assisting and supporting of the Head of the Feasibility Study Section in the management of the feasibility study activities interfacing with EC, user groups, industry and other relevant partners at working level in accordance with the objectives of the Department consolidation of user needs and their translation into system requirements initiation of activities and studies related to the area of responsibility preparation of Invitation to Tender documents evaluation of proposals in accordance with the objectives of the Department, including technical and commercialisation aspects implementation and management of activities and studies related to the area of responsibility initiation and management in collaboration with the Procurement Office and other relevant Offices of Administration, of the activities related to the areas of responsibility provision of the technical support in the field of responsibility coordination of the support provided by other ESA Directorates preparation of reports to the relevant ESA Directorates and delegate bodies contribution to the preparation of the yearly Feasibility Studies workplan contribution to the preparation of subsequent Demonstration Project Proposals in close cooperation with the Applications Demonstration Projects Office of the Department. In the execution of the tasks, the Feasibility Study Manager will liaise on a case by case basis with the members of the Applications Demonstration Projects Office of the Department, other units of the Directorate, with experts from other relevant ESA Directorates Earth Observation, Navigation, Human Space Flight, etc., as well as with the Procurement and Contracts Office.
