Demand could intensify from India and China, as the two largest cotton users are now turning to the international market for feeding their needs. India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn prices have been once again slightly raised in the last week, with cotton fiber prices however surging in the meantime, and gross margins plunging at spinning mills, consecutively. Cotton yarn exports may also be expected suffering after sharply increasing in 2018, as reflected by our 5-year export data per destination available in the below report. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centres are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.

Pakistan Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn prices have slightly risen once again in Pakistan over a strong domestic demand whereas yarn export prices could be boosted by surging sales to China. Both countries have agreed over a free trade agreement covering textiles and apparel exports as of next July. Our weekly review offers a comprehensive picture of the domestic and export yarn markets in Pakistan, with cotton yarns, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose, polyester spun and viscose spun prices being covered. All these weekly data are available for download over a 12-month period.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn import prices have declined in yuan terms in China, whatever their rise in dollar terms. Allocation of additional cotton import quotas should however support domestic spinners. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
