India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn prices have continued to decline slightly in India, as prices are progressively stabilizing on the market. India's yarn exports could have plunged by 80% to 90% in April, in line with a fall of 91% in apparel exports, from a year earlier. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab).
