An exciting opportunity to work as a Spacecraft Ops Engineer supporting our customer for various Geostationary spacecraft missions. The earliest start date for this position will be 1st of July 2016 and the submission deadline for interested candidates is 15th of June 2016. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES Certification as a Spacecraft Controller Supporting shift teams to cover absences and contingencies Offline activities coordination to aid smooth shift operations as well upcoming mission preparation Preparation and support of LEOP and commission phases Organization of proficiency training of the shift team workers Preparation and participation in the simulation campaign WritingUpdating operational products such as procedures etc. Providing oncall support QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related area Good technical knowhow of Spacecraft operations either as a Spacecraft controller or as engineering support Some experience with LEOP and commissioning phase activities Knowledge of Linux and MS Office Working knowledge of German as well as English ESSENTIAL SKILLS Collaborative and team worker Selfstarter and fast learner Good communication skills Solution oriented Security Clearance 1 Confidential will be required. As members of the Galileo Engineering Support Team reporting to Airbus GSOps Operations Manager OM, the Analysts will undertake technical tasks and duties on the elements of the Galileo Ground Control and Mission Segments as required to maintain the high availability of the signals broadcast by the Galileo satellites. The Analysts will Collect and collate data regarding the health and performance of the Galileo satellites and ground systems Collect and collate data regarding the status of the broadcast Galileo services Support the production of service status reports Configure and manage spacecraft and ground system operational data bases, under strict configuration control Support the investigation and rectification of spacecraft and ground system anomalies Undertake archiving and retrieval of system data sets. Support Galileo ground system maintenance activities. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Guidance and monitoring of the implementation of System Security Requirements by the EGNOS prime contractors, Follow up of the implementation of these requirements within the Segment design down to element level, Selection of evaluated secure element when COTS are selected or the follow up of the secure element evaluation during its development e.g. Common Criteria, Interaction with the Segment Prime contractors and its subcontractors for what concern security implementation, Site security measures, their definition and their implementation within the EGNOS Sites, Secure operations, the definition of the EGNOS SECOPS and the follow up of their implementation within EGNOS, Definition of the security operational measures in support to the security risk treatment required to cover identified security risk.
