Summary of the role As members of the FLO Mission Control Systems team, the Key Persons shall provide support to the development and operation of the EPS Overall Ground Segment OGS. The roles of the Key Persons comprise a range of tasks including the provision of support to the routine operation of the EPS MCS, and the interfaces between the MCS and other components of the EPS Core Ground Segment CGS. In addition, the Key Person will acquire and maintain a Systemwide view of the EPS CGS and OGS, particularly in the areas of system monitoring control and data flows, due to the central role the MCS plays in the EPS System. The consultant will be responsible for the definition andor maintenance of the routine operations procedures pertaining to system operations and the interfaces of the key systems within the Sentinel3 ground segment, in accordance with the established EUMETSAT Operations Department configuration management and quality assurance practices. The consultant will acquire and maintain a Systemwide view of the Sentinel3 ground segment. In particular, the consultant will maintain operational expertise on all aspects of the FOS. The consultant will review any planned changes to the system configurations for the Sentinel3 ground segment, and support the investigation of anomalies encountered through the routine system and ground segment operations. The consultant will provide support to the development and operations preparation for recurrent Sentinel3 satellites.
